Happy Shrimp Scampi Day!

You take two of my favorite things - shrimp and butter - and you add them together and you pretty much got shrimp scampi. So how can this be a bad day?

Well, my Arizona traffic ticket is due today for one. Don't cross the median in Casa Grande, Arizona - even if there's a wreck on the way to Phoenix and traffic is completely stopped both ways and the "median" is a strip of gravel and there's not one damn sign from Tuscon to Casa Grande saying it's illegal to cross in the median. Because you will get the lecture from the young cop about how it is your civic responsibility to know the rules of the road wherever you are driving. And when you get back home your friends will tease you mercilessly about not being able to talk yourself out of a ticket in Arizona as easily as you seem to be able to do so in Mississippi.

So...go eat your shrimp scampi and enjoy. Don't worry about me. ;)
