Beginning with Forrest General Hospital’s Third Annual Day of Dance for Cardiovascular Health and continuing through the hospital’s Second Annual Spirit of Women Symposium, Forrest General and its Spirit of Women program are sponsoring a raffle to benefit the Forrest General Healthcare Foundation.
The raffle is being held in memory of Jennifer Pender, sister-in-law of local celebrity chef, entrepreneur and author Robert St. John, who passed away from complications after a heart transplant.
The winner will receive a four-course meal prepared by St. John for a maximum of eight people to be presented either in the winner’s home or at the Purple Parrot Café. Details of the evening will be coordinated through New South Restaurant Group.
Following the fundraiser, Forrest General will establish a memorial to Pender in the Spirit of Women Community Education and Conference Rooms at 28th Place.
Tickets cost $25 and are available for purchase at the Forrest General Gift Shop, or may be purchased via credit card through FGH. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the Spirit of Women Symposium.
The winner will be drawn at the Symposium on Thursday, March 22, 2007. The winner does not have to be present to win. Individuals must be at least 21 years old to enter.
