Fearnet, a service that features scary video content on the Internet, cellphones and Comcast's video-on-demand service, will go live this Halloween. Its Web site will include movie trailers, short films and a handful of full-length movies like See No Evil and Zombies of Mora Tau.
Fearnet will offer Comcast's digital cable subscribers about 30 free on-demand movies, starting with Carrie, Ghoulies and Night of the Living Dead. Cellphone users with the right kinds of handsets will be able to go to a Fearnet site and download, initially, wallpaper and ring tones and, eventually, horror programming.
The Fearnet Web site will let users do such things as chat while watching movies and, eventually, submit their own horror videos.
