German glassware make Spiegelau recently launched a line of brew-specific glasses to enhance your beer-drinking experience.  The Beer Classics Collection offers three glasses designed to enhance three common styles of beer.

Spiegelau says the shape helps present "the aromatics of this style of beer and showcases the color, clarity and carbonation of good lagers." The collection includes lager glasses, stemmed pilsner glasses and wheat beer glasses. All are dishwasher safe.

The glasses are available as sets of two at major retailers and online for $29.99.

Sapporo has plans for space beer

    Spacebarley

Sapporo announced recently it was planning the first "space beer," using offspring of barley once stored at the International Space Station. Researchers said the project was part of efforts to prepare for a future in which humans spend extended periods of time in space - and might like a cold beer after a space walk.

They hope to have 100 bottles of beer ready by November.
