Adam Wallacavage makes a living as a photographer. But he also makes chandeliers, designs interiors, builds interiors and can make or fix just about anything. He calls himself "a happy artist who knows how to do lots of different things with stuff."
He recently finished the Sailor Jerry store in Philadelphia, where he designed the interior and made two huge chandeliers with big ceiling medallions. Adam has gotten so known for his chandeliers that he recently had a show of them at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York City. He will return to the gallery in December of 2007 for a second show with Ray Caesar.
His next project begins this month with the Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks. He is collaborating with three other local artists - Judith Schaechter, Kathy Vissar and Kim Montenegro - for an installation in three rooms of the historic Physick House Museum.
