Italian exhibition coming to Jackson in 2007
Between God and Man: Angels in Italian Art, an Italian art exhibition curated by Francesco Buranelli, director of the Vatican Museums, will be the first major exhibition of the Mississippi Museum of Art as it opens in its new space next to the Mississippi Arts Pavilion (now under renovation). It will include 200 pieces from public and private collections and will be on display from June to December of 2007. The objects come mainly from the Renaissance period, but some ancient, medieval and contemporary works are also included.
