Riannan wrote to me recently and asked why I talked Joe out of bookofjoeTV and pushed joeTV. My answer: We have to be ready for national coverage - the onslaught has already begun. Perfect example here.
In addition to music videos, the iTunes Music Store now also features select Disney and ABC television shows, ready to download. For $1.99, you can own the latest episode just one day after it airs, with full seasons of Lost, Desperate Housewives and That’s So Raven, plus episodes of new shows like Night Stalker and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody at your fingertips. It's all happening faster than I ever anticipated and right before our eyes.
Podcasting is passe. We have to ready ourselves for online video posthaste. (So you better all start working on that last 10 pounds you've been promising you'll lose for 10 years now. I guess I should not have eaten that sausage biscuit this morning - or washed it down with a Twix. It was free food I just couldn't help myself.)

For only $1.99, Joeheads can watch Joe read the paper while on the treadmill - and give a running commentary on what he plans on blogging about that day. (I always wondered how the hell he does that without getting seasick - he must have some damn good eyes.) Or Joe could show us the proper technique for dismantling a magazine upon arrival. Maybe a ComputerCam where we can watch him doing something close to nothing but different than the day before. The field is just wide open.
Besides, where else but book of joe (and joeTV) can a girl turn who's quickly bored and easily amused for eight posts a day, seven days a week, like clockwork? It might actually give me a reason to watch TV again.
