The Photo Friday theme this week is massive. I don't have any photos that I think fit well, and I don't have the time to go out and take a picture in the wake of all of this mess. But I found a photo that fits the "massive" I've felt this week in dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina - both personally and professionally.
Massive amounts of heartbreak - hearing the stories of friends, family and co-workers that have lost everything. But also massive amounts of love - of heart-felt outpourings from people around the world that know nothing about us reaching out and wanting to help, in any way they can. It's been heart-breaking and heart-warming at the same time. (Maybe two parts bitter, one part sweet, anyway.)
Thanks so much to all of you, whoever and whereever you are. It has been much appreciated.
