Blog, meet my new camera. New camera, meet my blog.
I've been looking for a camera that would fit in my purse. I finally broke down and bought this one.
The only problem is that it will be delivered the day that I am leaving on my vacation (so much for next-day shipping on Best Buy that I paid $12 extra for).
But they didn't have the red version in the store. And the red is what finally got me to purchase the camera (especially the drop-dead-gorgeous red camera they had in Wired magazine - it looks kind of raspberry here but it's supposed to be more candy apple).
It also shoots mini-movies, so I'll be able to post clips to the blogs at some point. (I have to keep up with the Joneses - and I keep hearing murmurs about bookofjoeTV coming soon.)
But, unless the UPS man comes fairly early Monday morning, no video clips any time soon. We are heading to Atlanta to do the Six Flags tour (they have three separate parks there) and visit some friends.
When you see the This Blog Is Closed sign next week, picture me on a rollercoaster with the wind in my hair! I generally have blogging DTs for one or two days but then I find the vacation experience actually pleasant. (But as soon as I get home I make a beeline for the computer.)
If you're going to be out next week too, we have an official excuse...It's national Turn Off the Computer Week. Hey, they make it sound like a good thing:
Across the world, people are slowing down, and they are finding that they "eat better, make love better, exercise better, work better".
Maybe it is time to switch off and slow down. (Unless my camera gets here on Monday morning, of course.) ;)
