Fourth of July is the official kick-off of grilling season. (It's almost mandatory that the grill be fired up at least once during this observance.) Just in time, I'm bringing you some recipes from Toronto-based Ted Reader, who bills himself as "King of the Q." Canada is not exactly known for great barbecue, but Reader is trying to change that with his latest cookbook, Hot and Sticky BBQ. Here are some sample recipes from his Web site.

And here's some from his book...
- Bone Dust BBQ Spice
- The Burger Is Better With Butter
- Cabbage, Smoked Ham & Cheddar Salad
- The Cheesiest Baked Macaroni & Cheese
- Jalapeno Beer Braised Back Ribs
