He Being Dead Still Speaks booklet

Genealogy enthusiast the Rev. Glen Shows has published a booklet, He Being Dead Still Speaks...Researching Your Legacy.

The booklet, while small, offers an interesting assortment of aids and advice for beginning research. He includes a form for requesting Mississippi death certificates and an ancestor chart, both of which can be copies and used repeatedly.

He offers advice for researching the family tree of an adopted child with pertinent addresses for researchers who specialize in this area and groups in Mississippi who are active in finding birth parents.

Shows also includes a section on researching a "burned" county (one whose courthouse records have been destroyed by fire). Included is a map of Mississippi showing the burn dates of each county.

The last information section provides addresses, phone numbers and contact information for church records of the major religious groups in Mississippi.
